About the Initiative

The Brazil-Sustainability Initiative is a three-year philanthropic project focused on fostering vital research and teaching on sustainability and climate justice issues in Brazil. With deforestation, fires, an increase in illegal mining, and other concerning environmental trends across the country, supporting Brazilian efforts towards sustainable futures is more important than ever. The Brazil-Sustainability Initiative invests in scientific innovation and knowledge production through respectful and mutually productive collaborations with local researchers and community partners to contribute to climate action.
